Information

I, Ramie, your new king, hereby declare the following - to preserve the fractured order of this fallen Heaven. I shall unite the Gods as one!

—Ramie

"Heaven Wars Episode 2 - Attack of the Uncle" (天国戦争 第二話 叔父の襲撃, Tengoku Sensō Dainiwa Oji no Shūgeki) is the twenty-ninth episode of New PANTY & STOCKING with GARTERBELT and the fifty-seventh overall episode of the Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt series. It first aired on September 25, 2025.

Synopsis[]

Ramie prepares to use a mighty weapon to destroy Hell and Earth.

Plot[]

Ramie, Polyester, and Polyurethane playing electric guitars.

Panty and Stocking are encased in two blue boxes. They, along with Garterbelt, Scanty, and Kneesocks, are taken to witness the upcoming coronation. Ramie kicks off the coronation, which he refers to as "God Fes", by playing a rock song alongside his sons Polyester and Polyurethane and announcing his plans to unite the gods as one.

He then encases all the gods into molds, which turn them into stone and disintegrate them. The ashes of the numerous gods are used to form the Forbidden Ancient Heavenly Weapon with which Ramie plans to destroy Hell and Earth.

Polyester and Polyurethane decide to shoot Scanty and Kneesocks for illegally entering Heaven. Garterbelt tries to bribe Ramie with his luggage full of BDSM equipment, though he is unsuccessful. Panty and Stocking take matters into their own hands and selflessly demand they shoot them instead of the Daemon Sisters, who promptly mock the Anarchy Sisters for what they believed to be fake heroics.

As Ramie, Polyester, and Polyurethane watch with puzzlement, the four girls use their weapons to fight each other and Panty and Stocking accidentally knock Garterbelt, Scanty, and Kneesocks off the ledge.

Ramie then freezes the lower halves of Panty and Stocking's bodies in stone in order for them to watch the unleashing of the weapon and the beginning of Heaven's war with Hell.

Garterbelt lands at the front of Gunsmith Bitch's house. He drinks the potion which shuts off his vitals for the next 24 hours; however, he ends up in Hell, where he finds Scanty and Kneesocks confronting the guards of Hell's Border over being denied entry due to the lack of Hell Coins they earned.

Garterbelt fears that Ramie's weapon will destroy Hell and Earth at any moment and asks Scanty and Kneesocks to help him save Panty and Stocking. The Daemon Sisters are reluctant but eventually agree. The Heavenly Catapult suddenly emerges into Hell, and Garterbelt decides to use it as a walkway to Heaven.

Brief and Chuck, meanwhile, take an elevator to Heaven's palace when he is detected as a non-god being. As Polyester and Polyurethane enter the elevator, Brief takes evasive action and hides in Chuck's body. Polyester and Polyurethane find Chuck to be very cute and adopt him while naming him "Eros". Brief watches from Chuck's mouth as Panty and Stocking are completely frozen.

Trivia[]

  • As of this episode, New PANTY & STOCKING with GARTERBELT has outnumbered season one in terms of episodes.
  • The Poly Brothers being adept guitarists is first foreshadowed in official merchandise[1] of the brothers using guitars.
  • Unlike the royal families of Heaven, the rest of the gods are dressed in toga and always have their halos and wings out.
  • According to Kneesocks, she and Scanty had only collected 60% of their mandated Hell Coins at this point, making them unable to re-enter Hell.
  • As revealed in this episode, the reason why the brothers don't have a zipper dog paralleling that of their cousins' (Chuck) and of the Daemon Sisters' (Fastener) was because they were too afraid to ask their father to begin with, but had always wanted a dog.
  • It is revealed that the Poly Brothers' garments are interchangeable, meaning Polyester doesn't necessarily have to use Polyurethane's underwear as his weapon and vice versa, as Polyurethane was able to turn his own underwear into his bladed boot during the scene where he gets rid of the elevator sound alarm.
  • Ramie's gun is the first user-specific angelic weapon wherein it's not shown onscreen which garment he summons it from.
  • Two of the easter eggs Hiromi Wakabayashi notes to look out for in the official art for the Shopping Circuit wave of merchandise is the God Bless You toy replica in Polyester's cart, as well as the "Eros" patch on Polyurethane's shorts.[2]
  • The three episodes included in the Heaven Wars arc were showcased in their "Zach Snyder's cut" version which had a special screening in theaters on December 24, 2025.[3]
  • The following were revealed in the Neverending Streaming episode featuring the three-parter Heaven Wars arc.
    • Every god in Godfest were turned into fine powder, but no other angels were harmed.
    • Ramie's gun is capable of injuring a human like Brief because gods' weapons are stronger than that of an angel's.
    • A scene cut for time involved Garterbelt trying to override his immortality by repeatedly killing himself. A gag from this sequence involved Super Guy Jin teaching him how to perform sepukku. Ultimately, this was trimmed down to Garterbelt landing in front of Gunsmith Bitch's store much like Brief before him.

Cultural references[]

  • The title is a parody of the 2002 film Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones.
  • The guards of Hell's Border are modeled after Judge Death from the 1995 film Judge Dredd.
  • The name the Poly Brothers give Chuck, "Eros", in Greek in origin and means "love" or "desire", while in Roman mythology, this figure is known as Cupid.

Continuity[]

Errors[]

  • Polyester and Polyurethane did not recognize Chuck when he and Brief reinfiltrated Heaven despite spending an entire day together in "Independence Dick"; however, this could be due to Chuck's misshapen body after Brief hid in it.
  • Despite the Neverending Streaming revealing that only the other gods (and not angels) were turned into fine powder, the entire three-part finale seems to have an absence of other common angels.
