Patrick Fagry (パトリック・ファグリィ, Patorikku Faguryi; named Flat U. Lance in English dub) was an ill-mannered ghost whom Stocking fell in love with prior to his death. He solely appears in "Ghost: The Phantom of Daten City".
Background[]
According to Garterbelt, Patrick was formed from the regrets of men who never found love in their lifetime. He is first spotted by Panty and Stocking as they were searching for men to hook up with. While Panty was disgusted by Patrick, Stocking immediately fell in love with him, much to Panty's chagrin. Over the next few days, Stocking went on several dates with Patrick and later revealed that she wanted to elope with him.
At the park, Panty attempts to put an end to their romance by dressing up as Stocking. However, just as she was about to shoot him, Stocking threw a suitcase at her and insisted that she was her own person now. Panty retorts by claiming that Patrick doesn't really love her, to which Patrick responded by proposing to Stocking. After Stocking accepted the proposal, Patrick becomes purified and ascends to Heaven; he was worth one Heaven Coin.
Appearance[]
Patrick's design sheet.
Patrick had the typical ghostly skin tone (black and red), but his body resembled that of an overweight man. The top of his hair is rounded, while the bottom edges flip up and outward. He wore a pink collared suit and light-purple pants.
Personality[]
At first, Patrick was a generally unpleasant ghost. He openly made advances towards women, frequently farted, and held misogynistic views. Even after Stocking made it clear that she was in love with him, he didn't treat her with much respect. As it turned out, though, Patrick held just as much love for Stocking as she did for him; he admitted that he is bad at expressing love because he is not very smart. Unlike many other ghosts throughout the series, Patrick was not destructive or even threatening — at worst, he was merely an annoyance.
