Martha Parker is one of the two lead protagonists in Karla & Martha with The Avengers.
Appearance
Martha physically appears as about 9-12 years old (though in reality she is about 410 years old), which can be deduced from the fact that physically she is at least one year younger than Panty. Because of this she can still attend elementary school, most likely as a sixth grade student. She has pale skin and an Elsa hairstyle. Her hair is black, usually with braids. Martha insists that everything that Thanos put a spell on her, which hasn't been confirmed to be true. However, her friend Karla is shown to support this theory. Her eyes are black.
Human form
She wears a purple friendship bracelet that Karla gave her, and a white dress.
Spider form
She has 13 legs and 40 eyes on her back, she also can spit spider webs to her enemies.
The Tragedy
It was the year 1878, in a convent converted into a school. This building had been divided into two: on one side were the mothers' cells, while on the other was the old, but sophisticated school attended by girls whose tuition could only be paid by money people.
Everything seemed to be pretty normal until one day Martha began to look sad; nobody knew what was happening to her, because she was a very cheerful and competitive girl in class. Her teacher believed that it was a matter of her age and that she would feel better in a short time.
But that was not the case, each day, Martha looked more and more sorrow and sad; It looked as if she was going through a terrible depression. But what could be missing a little girl who apparently had everything?
As much as they talked with her, they couldn't find the reason of why Martha was behaving that way; she got well with the other girls, her parents' attention towards her was good, they always gave each other a space to talk with the little girl.
Days passed and the girl started to move away from her friends; She no longer went to recess and didn't join them. They all asked her what was wrong with her, but she didn't answer. Finally, Karla, who was her best friend, tried to help her,
—What happens to you, Martha? Why don't you want to play with us?
Martha confessed that a few days ago she saw a musculous purple man calling her, and she was the only one who could see him. Surprised, Karla told her that there was no one in there, but still, Martha insisted that she saw someone.
One day, when everyone was at recess, Karla approached her friend, who as usual had stayed in the classroom. Karla could not understand why her friend didn't go out to the patio if she said she saw the man in the classroom. Martha confessed that it was because the man would not let her go out.
Karla did not believe what was happening to her and there was no way to convince her that there was no one in that place. As soon as possible, she grabbed her stuff and went to the patio because she considered that her friend was never going to end this absurd story. But when she was going to leave, Martha took her hand asking her not to leave her alone, she was very afraid.
Karla tried in vain to pacify her, she knew that there was little time left for recess to end, and if she stayed there she would miss lunchtime. She left as she could, convinced that Martha had calmed down.
When they all returned from recess they didn't find Martha anywhere; they thought that she had accepted to go to recess; however, no one found her in the patio, and no matter how much they looked for her, they didn't find her. When they were convinced that it was best to report her absence to her parents, they heard her voice coming from the back of the classroom.
Since they didn't see anyone, the nuns asked the girls to leave the room, to investigate what was happening because they kept hearing Martha's voice. The only one who stayed in the room was Karla, she was worried the most about her friend's absence; She approached the corner where her friend's voice came from.
But her surprise came when she realized that in the corner there was a spider web, which was very old and thick, as if it had always been there; but in that web there was a very peculiar spider: it had the face of her friend. She immediately started calling the nuns shouting really loud saying that it was the spider who spoke.
Nobody precisely knows what happened next; some say that the spider talked to them telling them what happened; others say that the spider simply began to cry; and others claim that she ran to hide between the walls.
Since then, the classroom was closed; no one was allowed to access again. About the girl, they say she stayed there and nobody could do anything for her, because according to some versions, the girl was cursed by a witch.
Many years have passed since that unfortunate event. Some wanted the history to become a legend so that no one was afraid to enter the convent.
At the end, the construction was closed, and although I can't say the name of the convent for ethical reasons, I do assure you that even nowadays, Karla keeps crying, stating that what she says is true, and that it was a work of the evil THANOS.
