This card's from a trading card game... Blowing up with the geeks all over Daten City! It's called "Magic: The Angry Uncle." This card was so overpowered they immediately pulled it from production in alpha stage! This card is basically a myth!

—Brief to Panty

"The Bodycard" (ボディカード, Bodikādo) is the third episode of New PANTY & STOCKING with GARTERBELT and the thirty-first overall episode of the Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt series. It premiered on July 16, 2025.

Synopsis[]

Panty has to win a very rare card in order to make up a massive debt.

Plot[]

The episode opens with a crowd of protestors at the church demanding that Panty pays back all of the people whose buildings she destroyed in Daten City. Panty, Stocking, and Garterbelt watch the news, which airs a report on how Panty had become a social pariah for destroying the city.

Panty states that Stocking should also share the blame for the destruction, though Stocking deflects the blame by saying she was a demon. The bills are then forwarded to the church, revealing that Panty has to pay three trillion Daten City dollars. Panty tries not to stress about it and calls up some guys to have sex with, though Brief shows Panty that no one will even let her in their businesses, let alone have sex with her.

In order to make up Panty's debt, Brief brings her to a geeky store in hopes to work together to earn the three trillion dollars, though the manager says the store has enough workers. A nerdy kid, named Super Guy Jin, shows up, and after walking into the sliding doors several times, he introduces himself and spills his backpack. Brief finds an extremely rare card, Blue Eyes White Uncle, and explains that the card originates from the game Magic: The Angry Uncle, but it was pulled from the game's alpha stage because it was so overpowered.

After Brief discovers that the card is worth three trillion Daten City dollars, Panty plans to sell it; however, Jin says it can only be owned by dualists of the game.

Jin challenges a hooded man to a dual, though Jin quickly loses their match and is forced to give up one of his cards, which happens to be Blue Eyes White Uncle. Panty, however, wasn't willing to give up the card just yet and held her gun to his face. The man shows Panty the Uncle Knight of Poop card, which Brief says is worthless.

He then reveals that people's hatred and lack of respect for cards like the Uncle Knight of Poop formed him into what he truly is, a Ghost, and eats the Blue Eyes White Uncle card. As Panty is about to kill the Ghost, Brief stops her because the card will be destroyed with him. Panty must beat the Ghost in a dual in order to win the card. Meanwhile, Kneesocks enters the store to begin her afternoon shift and notices the large crowd.

The dual begins, and Panty has already lost nearly all of her hit points. Panty draws the Uncle Knight of Poop card, and much to Brief's dismay, she doesn't realize that the card holds very little power. The Ghost draws the mighty Blue Eyes White Uncle card, but just as the uncle deals his damage to Panty, she draws a Black Dildotus card.

The Uncle Knight of Poop grabs the Black Dildotus and drills it up his anus, causing him to achieve a maximum orgasm and transform into the All-In Uncle Gamble Soldier, which holds a D100. She has to roll a 100 to increase his attack power 1 million times, or else she will lose the match. Luckily, since Panty is an angel, she had better chances to roll a 100, which she indeed did.

The ghost falls to the floor and says that his inability to bet on his own potential is what led to his initial downfall, before dying and leaving the Blue Eyes White Uncle card.

Panty grabs and kisses the Blue Eyes White Uncle card, before a girl reveals that the card has become worthless because it had been recently reprinted. Panty, with no other option, offers Brief the card and a pair of her panties for three trillion Daten City dollars. Brief quickly accepts the offer and Panty receives her money.

Back at the church, Stocking and Garterbelt watch the news, which airs another report on Panty, who had spent the three trillion Daten City dollars in a shopping spree instead of paying off her debt. She had also bought and became the new CEO of the fashion brand, Christian Dildior. Stocking reacts in total shock by spitting her tea on Garterbelt's face as protestors continued throwing objects at the church.

Trivia[]

  • It is revealed that Kneesocks works as a part-time cashier at Card Game.
  • This episode is similar to "The Stripping", where (one of) the Anarchy Sister(s) try to prove to Garterbelt they can earn a huge amount of money in a short amount of time.
  • One of the easter eggs Hiromi Wakabayashi notes to look out for in the official art for the Shopping Circuit wave of merchandise is the Magic: The Angry Uncle pack of cards in Panty's cart.[1]

Continuity[]

Cultural references[]

  • The episode title and title card is a parody of the 1992 film The Bodyguard.
  • The robot skull that Panty was looking at before chucking it at Brief along with the headless model by the clerk both resembles that of a T-500 from The Terminator.
    • The pose that she makes when she holds the skull is also a reference to Shakespeare's play Hamlet.
  • The name of the game Magic: The Angry Uncle and its rules are references to the card game, Magic: The Gathering. There are also other references to the game:
    • The Blue Eyes White Uncle card's text and creature type are references to the Chromium card from MTG.
    • The Black Dildotus card is named after the Black Lotus card.
  • The anime series Yu-Gi-Oh! is referenced several times:
    • The name of the Blue Eyes White Uncle card is a reference to Blue-Eyes White Dragon.
    • The hand pose that Panty does after winning the duel is a reference to the same pose that Jaden Yuki performs when he wins duels in the anime Yu-Gi-Oh! GX.
  • One of the cards is called Saturday Night Fever, which is a reference to the 1977 film of the same name.
  • Jin has a shirt which reads "IAMX Movie", a reference to IMAX.
  • The shirt that the Uncle Knight of Poop is wearing has a logo of the English heavy metal band Iron Maiden.
  • The fashion brand that Panty bought, Christian Dildior, is a reference to the real fashion brand, Christian Dior.
  • The scene where the Black Dildotus turns into a drill is a reference to Gurren Lagann, a previous anime that Hiroyuki Imaishi directed.

Errors[]

  • Garterbelt says that he still has a hold on his Heaven's Express Black Card, since Panty and Stocking maxed out the card in "Bitch Girls: 2 Bitch", despite it having unlimited Heaven Coins.
    • This could be yet another continuity error or the card being on hold could possibly be a punishment for its misuse, although this is more Panty and Stocking's fault as Garterbelt was still (temporarily) dead at the time.
