"The Plush" (ザ・プラッシュ, Za Purasshu) is the twenty-sixth episode of New PANTY & STOCKING with GARTERBELT and the fifty-fourth overall episode of the Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt series. It first aired on September 17, 2025.
Synopsis[]
When Honekoneko gets destroyed in the wash, Stocking tries fixing him only for a time-traveler to interrupt her.
Plot[]
Stocking and Tom escaping the Honekonator.
Stocking is distraught to find her Honekoneko doll in a destroyed state after Garterbelt washed it. She desperately tries to fix it before Tom Croose Jr., a time-traveler agent of the PreCrime Division from 2054, barges into the church and reveals that Stocking's decision to repair Honekoneko will trigger a chain of events that will lead to an army of Honekoneko dolls taking control of humanity.
As Stocking fends off Tom from destroying Honekoneko, a robotic Honekoneko doll from 2029 named Honekonator emerges into the church to defend Honekoneko and kill Tom.
He and Stocking barely manage to escape the Honekonator by using the elevator. Tom explains that 2054 may be peaceful, but several "precogs" predict that Honekoneko will make life much harder for humanity by the year 3000.
Tom and Stocking's battle against the Honekonator continues into the streets of Daten City, where the Honekonator dies after getting pierced by one of Stocking's katanas and falling into an oil vat within a food truck.
Garterbelt creating Honekoneko.
At Gunsmith Bitch's house, Stocking tells her her current dilemma about Honekoneko. Gunsmith Bitch suggests that the person who made the doll should fix it for her, and she sends Stocking back to the exact time when it was first created. To Stocking's surprise, Garterbelt turned out to be Honekoneko's creator.
He fixed up Honekoneko and explained to Stocking that he was creating a doll for one of the two angels who had recently moved into the church because she was feeling homesick. Before traveling back to the present, Stocking instructed Garterbelt to strictly hand-wash the doll and thanked him for creating it.
Tom then approaches Garterbelt and shoots him in an attempt to prevent Honekoneko from being created but Garterbelt actually survives this, not counting on the fact that he's actually immortal.
In the present time, Stocking discovers that Honekoneko's bones had disappeared, making it a normal doll. She finds Garterbelt, whose skeleton is partially visible, and realizes that the timeline has been messed up. A picture of Tom and his family is seen and Tom disappears from the picture, implying he has died.

Cultural references[]
- The title of the episode is a reference to the 2023 American superhero film The Flash.
- The Honekonator is a parody of the Terminator, complete with a voice similar to that of Austrian actor Arnold Schwarzenegger. His death is also a reference to the Terminator's death in the 1991 film Terminator 2: Judgement Day.
- Similar to Tom Croose, Tom Croose Jr. is an obvious parody of actor Tom Cruise.
- His introduction is a reference to the cable drop scene in the 1996 film Mission: Impossible.
- His explanation as to why he wants to kill Honekoneko is a reference to the 2002 film Minority Report.
- After shooting Garterbelt, Tom says "All me need is kill", which is a reference to Edge of Tomorrow, known in Japan as All You Need Is Kill, a loose adaptation of the light novel of the same name. In the dub, the line is instead "I feel the need to kill!", which is a reference to Maverick's iconic line in the 1986 film Top Gun.
- The younger version of Garterbelt resembles Enrico Pucci from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, a Catholic priest and prison chaplain with black ancestry.
- His existence in photo being erased, is a reference to 1985 film Back to the Future, as a result of messing with the timeline.
Errors[]
- In "The An♪r♥meda Strain", Stocking can be shown sewing on a random man's penis onto Honekoneko, but in this episode, she claims she does not know how to fix/sew Honekoneko.
- Past Garterbelt did not recognize Present Stocking despite having already been acquainted with the sisters at that point.
