Information

A single evil figure appeared without warning. The station was left in ruins, and the Commissioner was killed. The justice of this city has fallen. There was nothing I could do. I'm no longer qualified to wear the badge of justice.

—Impact Cop

"The Silence of the Internet" (インターネットたちの沈黙, Intānetto-tachi no Chinmoku) is the seventeenth episode of New PANTY & STOCKING with GARTERBELT and the forty-fifth overall episode of the Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt series. It first aired on August 27, 2025.

Synopsis[]

A grief-stricken Impact Cop vows to end evil once and for all.

Plot[]

A mysterious monster appears at the ICPD Daten City Division, declaring that he is the root of all evil. Later, Impact Cop visits the now-destroyed station, where the Commissioner lies dead. Impact Cop mourns his death and gives up his job of fighting for justice. Panty and Stocking drive up to Impact Cop and take him out for a drive to relax.

However, See Through suddenly breaks down near a beach. As Panty and Stocking try to drag See Through out of the road, one of its tires digs into the road and they all slide into the ocean. They encounter a dark-skinned man, who eventually hires them to work at Diamond Head.

Panty, Stocking, and Impact Cop become accustomed to living near the beach until the man who hired them drowned while going for a routine swim. A crab walks up to Impact Cop while holding his badge, and he realizes that there is still evil which he needs to defeat.

Back at the station, Panty, Stocking, and Impact Cop travel to the basement of the station to find the evil. Impact Cop encounters the Internet Ghost, who is now covered with bandages and wears a facemask, and smashes him against the wall to find the true root of all evil, who turns out to be the Mob Ghost. Impact Cop throws the Internet Ghost onto the Mob Ghost, entangling the latter, and proceeds to shoot most of the Mob Ghost's body.

The Mob Ghost pleads for mercy, but Impact Cop refuses and instead reduces him and the Internet Ghost to ashes with laser beams shooting from his eyes. Meanwhile, Panty and Stocking guess that the Mob Ghost may not be a real ghost and quietly leave.

Impact Cop attends the Commissioner's funeral, held at his hometown in New Orleans, Louisiana. He reveals that the other part of defeating evil besides justice is isolation, which he unwillingly learned after the Commissioner's death.
