Daten City, synonymous with extremes. Love, hate, decadence, and, uh... the opposite of decadence. To the west of this mixed up town is a mixed up little area called Little Tokyo. In this ghetto, shit place, ghetto, shit people seek ghetto, shit happiness. As they live out their ghetto, shit lives.

"Vomiting Point" (ヴォミッティング・ポイント, Vuomittingu Pointo) is the tenth episode of season one and the tenth overall episode of Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt. It first aired on October 29, 2010.
The episode starts with a narrator, who explains that a gloomy city, named Little Tokyo, lies to the west of Daten City. He assures that in Little Tokyo, glum people can only seek glum happiness. The setting changes to an office in Little Tokyo, where an office worker is being scolded by his superior, who tells him that he must improve his sales in order to keep his job.
Terao watching his family sleep.
Terao goes back to his working place, where he writes on a memo book he is going to try working harder. After getting home, he is seen reading a newspaper. He is reminded by his daughter that her birthday is tomorrow, and then proceeds to tell him that she wants to meet Panty and Stocking. While watching the news, Terao sees that Panty and Stocking defeated yet another ghost.
On the following day, Terao's co-worker, Mika, cries because he gave her a dissected turtle as a gift. Terao tells her daughter (on the phone) that he is going to give her a present once he gets home. Terao's co-workers agree on going for some drinks in order to fix things for Mika. After settling in the bar, Terao asks if he can be excused, but is denied the possibility by his superior, who orders him to drink a tower of beer.
Panty and Stocking's autographs, which were placed in a frame in Chi's room.
After finishing drinking the tower of beer, Terao tries going home, but he suddenly started vomiting, creating a Ghost out of his vomit. Panty and Stocking appear in order to defeat Boogey Pukey, and after noticing them, Terao tries talking to them, but they ditch him in favor of defeating the ghost.
After killing the ghost, who left only one Heaven Coin behind, Terao invites the angels to his home. While they didn't want to go to his home, they instead give him their autographs. Terao's daughter is later seen with the now framed autograph in her bedroom, while Terao is told once again that he needs to improve if he wants to keep his job.
Beginning at the scene in which Terao leaves the locker room, Terao is shown to have a black and red mist coming from his back, foreshadowing him vomiting up a ghost.
According to Datencity Paparazzi, Terao went to the Cemetery Hills Church in order to meet the Anarchy sisters the day before Mika's birthday. He instead meets Garterbelt, who stated that they were at school and that he may get to meet them if he's lucky. Terao, believing that he wouldn't be able to meet them, decided to go home and bought the turtle along the way, which he gifted to Mika the next day.
Chi turns six years old on her birthday, as six birthday candles were seen on her cake.
Right before killing the ghost, Panty declared that she and Stocking have now killed the "three great nasties". While this is not explicitly stated, this likely refers to ghosts that embody bodily secretions such as Giant Brown (poop), Cowpers (sperm), or Ugly Snot (boogers). Given Panty's sexual proclivity, the most likely "three great nasties" were poop, boogers, and now vomit, notoriously gross things to clean up.
This is the first episode that mainly takes place outside of Daten City.
Chi only swears once in the original Japanese version, but in the English dub, she swears four times.
The fourth wall was broken as the song Fly Away, can be faintly heard in the background after Boogey Pukey wreaks havoc in Little Tokyo. The song gets louder as Panty and Stocking approach Boogey Pukey.
Cultural references[]
The episode's title is a reference to the 1971 American action-road film, Vanishing Point.
The episode may be a reference to the The Powerpuff Girls episode "Town and Out", which featured the titular girls moving to a much more realistic city.
The episode's art shift has been compared to the styles of both Satoshi Kon and Studio 4°C. In reality, the episode was referencing something much more obscure — Shinya Ohira's episode of The Hakkenden, which angered many fans as a result of its realistic, "ugly" aesthetics and loose style. This reaction mirrored the one that fans had while watching Osamu Kobayashi's episode of Gurren Lagann, and this episode could easily be seen as an attempt to create a similar reaction.
In the beginning of the episode, a Buddha-like Omi doll can be seen in the middle of Little Tokyo.
The fast-food restaurant WcDonald's is a parody of the fast food chain, McDonald's.
"WcDonald's" is a very common name for McDonald's parodies in anime. The WcDonald's parody first appeared in the 1983 anime, Cat's Eye.[1] In 2024, McDonald's ran a promotion in which they renamed themselves to WcDonald's.
"Coce-Cobe".
On the streets of Little Tokyo, there are several soda venders that have a logo that looks very similar to the logo used by Coca-Cola.
Continuity[]
It is revealed that the beginning of this episode takes place on the same day as the events of "Raiders of the Nasal Dark" because the reporter in Midnight News Show talks about the defeat of Oscar H. Genius, which, according to him, happened "today".
Errors[]
In the Japanese dub, the reporter of Midnight News Show states that Panty and Stocking defeated Oscar on the surface of the Moon. This is incorrect, however, as Panty and Stocking actually defeated Oscar right before he could crash into the Moon.
